Most things look the way they do on purpose, and I still don't like how this looks." "No, you see, it looks like that on purpose." It's like saying minecraft's graphics are bad when everyone well knows that it's on purpose,īeing bad intentionally doesn't change the fact that they're bad. "It's low fidelity on purpose" isn't an excuse to people who don't like the fact that it's low fidelity. I have to assume it is because it’s not trying to render all these amazing graphics other games do. Side note from my other comment: I enjoy the fact it runs so well on my baked potato of a computer. Valheim still looks really good and you get so into what you’re doing you don’t even notice anymore. I suppose why spend your budget and all your time perfecting graphics when you can work on the actual game? It’s smart. And almost always the ‘bad’ graphics are a choice. I’ve given so many other games a chance and found the gameplay great. You just watch graphics get better over the years and kind of expect it. How on earth could a game like Stardew Valley be fun when the graphics are from the 80s? Pixel games just aren’t cool. I guess that’s how a lot of people decide what a good game is as we get more and more advanced in our ability to create games.
